On the women’s side, Eugenie Bouchard of Westmount, Que., is scheduled to play wild-card Shuai Peng of China.

Bianca Andreescu of Mississauga won her second-round qualifying match Thursday — 6-2, 6-2 over Valentini Grammatikopoulou. Andreescu, who reached the final of the ASB Classic in New Zealand last weekend, began the week ranked No. 107 and needs one more win to reach the Australian Open main draw.
