Canadian woman attacked in Bahamas: Cops

A Canadian woman was allegedly raped by a Jet Ski operator in Nassau, Bahamas, local media reported.

Cops say the woman — believed to be in her late 20s — was found shaking and sobbing in the sand on Monday by an Atlantis resort employee. She could barely speak.

Stephen Dean, senior assistant commissioner of police, said the woman told them that a male Jet Ski operator took her on a ride from Cabbage Beach to a cay off Paradise Island.

The employee who came to comfort the woman said she agreed to go on a Jet Ski ride and returned an hour later distraught.

“She was crying real loud and shaking,” the anonymous employee told The Tribune. “I went over there and she was saying she was raped. She thought I was the security and she told me that he (a Jet Ski driver) raped her.”

The man added: “She even said he left the condom right there on the beach and then he brought her back and took off.”

According to the resort employee, the man has a “bad reputation” and has been accused before of groping women.

Last year amid allegations of rape, the Cove Atlantis warned guests against renting Jet Skis on Cabbage Beach.
