'The Daily’: Bill O’Reilly’s Ouster

For 14 consecutive years, Bill O’Reilly hosted the highest-rated news program not just on Fox News but on television.

• Fox News’s biggest star is out of a job two and a half weeks after a Times investigation into allegations of sexual harassment. We talk to Emily Steel, one of the two reporters who are most responsible for Mr. O’Reilly’s ouster.

• Knowing about those allegations, Fox had just renewed Mr. O’Reilly’s contract. So what happened that led to this? We talk with Jim Rutenberg, the media columnist for The Times.

• The Times investigation into how Fox News and its parent company, 21st Century Fox, repeatedly stood by Mr. O’Reilly even as sexual harassment allegations against him mounted.
