An Italian woman has launched a legal battle to regain custody of the child that was forcibly removed from her womb, according to the Sunday Telegraph.
It's believed Essex authorities obtained a court order to have the child removed because the mother had suffered a mental breakdown.
She has now launched a legal battle for her 15-month-year-old, who is still in the custody of social services.
Social services have allegedly refused to return the child to its mother, even though she claims to have made a full recovery, and are saying the child will be put up for adoption.
The Sunday Telegraph says a British MP, John Hemming, from the Liberal Democrat Party, will raise the case in parliament this week.
