Thunder Bay police identify accused in Marks Street homicide

Michael Cleghorn also wanted for a number of other charges in Toronto, police say

Thunder Bay police say they're looking for a man wanted for murder in connection with a death on Marks Street in May.

On Tuesday, police released the name and photo of 29-year-old Michael Cleghorn. He is wanted for second degree murder in the death of Edmond Clovis, 21, from Toronto on May 22.

Police were called to a home on Marks Street around 4:50 p.m. with reports of a seriously-injured male. He was later pronounced dead in hospital, and a post-mortem examination has revealed he died as a result of "trauma received in an altercation."

Police have also said they believe the homicide was "targeted" and "gang-related."

Cleghorn is also wanted by police in Toronto for a number of other alleged sexual-related offences, Thunder Bay police said.

Police said Cleghorn should be considered armed and dangerous. The public is being warned not to approach him, and instead, to call 911.
